Apart from being involved in tech, I enjoy much of my downtime playing and writing music. I grew up learning the viola and eventually was able to teach myself the guitar. I try to apply more of an artistic lens to computer science, which allows flexibility in creativity to approach to challenging problems when they arise.
I also believe in giving back and try to volunteer as much as possible. I've mentored for buildOn, a program that empowers leadership through service in inner-city communities. Apart from that, I am involved in championing support of Girls Who Code in my company's organization leading a team of workstream leaders. And most recently, I began mentoring a university scholar as a part of a new initiative in my organization.
